XXX International Seminar on Stability Problems for Stochastic Models
XXX jubilee International Seminar on Stability Problems for Stochastic Models will be held from 24 to 30 September, 2012 in Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad Region, Russia, under the auspices of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Institute for Informatics Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Seminars on Stability Problems for Stochastic Models have a long tradition. They were started by Prof. Vladimir Zolotarev in the 1970’s. The seminars were attended by leading probabilists from all over the world. The Seminars traditionally aim at bringing together people from Eastern and Western parts of Europe to share their expertise, new results, exchange the ideas and discuss open problems. In this century Seminars took place in Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, Latvia, Italy, Israel, Romania and Poland (see also http://www.ipiran.ru/conference/stabil_eng/index.asp and http://www.ipiran.ru/conference/stabil_rus/index.asp).
The previous XXIX seminar was held in 2011 in Svetlogorsk which proved to be an excellent site for scientific communication. The next, XXX, seminar will again be held in Svetlogorsk.
Svetlogorsk (former Rauschen) is a well-known nice resort on the Baltic seashore famous for its mild healthy climate and nice surroundings. The participants will be hosted in the hotel Universal (http://www.hotel-universal.ru)

Organization Fee

VI International Workshop "Applied Problems in Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics related to modeling information systems" (APTP + MS) (Summer Session)
will be held within the framework and under the aegis of the XXX International Seminar on Stability Problems for Stochastic Models. Previous sessions of the Workshop “APPT + MS” were held in Italy, Spain, Russia, Switzerland, Russia.

Abstracts of communications of the XXIX International Seminar on Stability Problems for Stochastic Models will be published before the Seminar. Selected proceedings of International Seminar on Stability Problems for Stochastic Models will be published in the «Journal of Mathematical Sciences» (Springer Science+Business Media, ISSN: 1072-3374) and in the «Informatics and Applications» (ISSN: 1992-2264).
Abstract Submission
The abstract should be typeset in TeX/LaTeX format using our template. Manuscripts are expected not to exceed 1-2 pages. Both .tex and .pdf files of the abstract should be sent to isspsm@gmail.com no later than by 1 June 2012.
Invitations and visas
The Organizing Committee will send the scan copies of the scientific invitations on the institutional blanks to the registered participants. The original hard copy of the invitation can be sent to the participants upon their requests only. If you need the original hard copy of the invitation, please, inform us by the e-mail: isspsm@gmail.com and specify the postal address, the invitation will be sent to.
Unfortunately, these scientific invitations on the institutional blanks do not fit the Russian consulates and thus cannot be used for visa purposes. The foreign participants who need a special official invitation letter which can be used in order to receive visa are kindly requested to send the e-mail by one of the addresses: hotel-universal@mail.ru; unitour@inbox.ru, containing:
1) the words “Seminar on Stability Problems” in the Subject;
2) the scanned copy of your passport attached;
3) desirable dates the invitation will be extended for;
4) whether you need:
— just a scanned copy of the invitation, which will be sent you by the e-mail (this is the default).
— a fax copy, then specify the fax number as well, please;
— the original invitation, then specify the postal address, it will be sent to. In this case the invitation will be sent as a registered letter and cost extra 3-4 EUR;

The preparation of the invitation costs 600 RUR (~ 15 EUR) which will be charged when you arrive at the Seminar. The delivery of the invitation by the e-mail and by fax is free, while the delivery by the post (as a registered letter) costs approximately 3-4 EUR.

The administrative staff of the hotel speaks Russian, German and English. The price per person per night is approximately 1100-2200 RUR (~25-55 EUR) depending on the class of the room:
1100 RUR – a bed in a double room
1900 RUR – single room
2200 RUR – double room

1) The subject of the letter should contain the words “Seminar on Stability Problems”, otherwise your letter may stay unread or you will not be considered as the participant of the Seminar.

3) Booking dates (the dates of your arrival and departure).
Also a transfer from the Kaliningrad airport and from the Kaliningrad railway station to Svetlogorsk (approximately 40 km) and back is possible. The price for the transfer depends on the size of a group you travel with, varying within the range 200-1000 RUR (approximately 5-25 EUR) in one direction, 1000 RUR (~25 EUR) being the price for the separate car (taxi). The transfer manager will form the groups, if it is possible. Please, take into account that if you travel from any part of Russia to Kaliningrad region by train and cross the border, than you have to receive a Transit Visa. To order the transfer, please, specify the following additional information:
